Skills Tasting Shuk

Don’t miss the chance to experience skills tasting during the Career Shuk. You will be able to select and attend three mini sessions from 9-10:30 AM. Topics will range from Resume Review and Writing Tips, Coaching, Fearless Public Speaking, and Interviewing Tips, among others. Experts in the field will facilitate all workshops. Meet them at the shuk and network with them as they join you at the conference. Every professional can benefit from brushing up on skills, so don’t miss your opportunity to do so. These sessions are on a first come basis as space could be limited.

What do you need to ask yourself and what do you need to know in order to be an effective advocate?  We will provide examples from our experience working for the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA), spending time on the Hill, and working in coalition with other national advocacy organizations.  We will explore the two major aspects of being an advocate: direct lobbying and grassroots organizing.
